If you have been looking into beginning a career as a mcse then I want you to listen to me very carefully.

The first things that you need to do to break into the world of mcse is first find a job in the industry and then become certified. I know it seems like the backwards way to go here, but it is what it is. You will need to gain the necessary experience in the industry to begin making the salary that a person that holds the mcse certification. After you gain some experience then you can begin taking the necessary courses and to receive your mcse certificate it will make it much easier for you to get a mcse jobs salary.

There has been massive growth in IT industry over the past few years and this caused what it seemed like to be an endless supply of high paying jobs in the industry. But all good things must end. Don't get me wrong this doesn't mean that you won't be able to get a job.

Many people believe that they are going to get their certificate and begin making the salary they were told that current mcse jobs are paying. Which by the way has gone down, the average mcse salary is $63,000 a year. That's still a nice yearly salary, but it was over $70,000 a year only a couple of years ago. It's unfortunate how many people have gone out and taken all of the courses and passed the exams, only to find that they are not able to get a job, and that the salary has decreased.

I am not telling you that you shouldn't go forward and break into the industry, by all means you should if that is what you want to do. I just want you to know what to expect before you do something with the expectations that it is still the same salary, and there are still vast amount of job opportunities available like it was only a few years ago. There seems to be more people then jobs in this industry.

But you need to understand that you are going to be starting out on the bottom of the totem pole, and won't be making the mcse salary that is greatly desired. But you will be moving forward and getting the necessary experience you will need to land any mcse jobs, and making their salary.
