Gain MCSE Skills
It's important that you gain the proper mcse skills before you even begin taking the courses. I say this because all to often people are spending money to make this amazing change in the path of their career, with the all to common belief that they are going to land the job of their dreams making a great salary. I am here to squash those dreams, and I want to first tell you that I am sorry that I have to be the one to do it, but it has to be said.
The common mistake is believing that if you have your MCSE certification it is going to make it extremely possible for you to get a job. I am sure you have been reading many website and they are all probably telling you that by getting your certification you will be ahead of everyone else that doesn't have one. In theory that sounds about right. But the certification does not give you the necessary mcse skills, you still don't have any actual experience. It's easy to read and memorize a book, well for some people anyway. But it's a different story to implement that knowledge into real life situations. I am no diminishing what you have accomplished because there are many that are not even able to pass the exam. I am just telling you how employers are looking at this. They want you to have the necessary mcse skills so they know that you are going to be able to complete the everyday tasks that you will need to perform all on your own. They can't risk their business otherwise they will lose money. Nobody wants to lose money.
If you want to become MCSE certified and get a job then you need to get the mcse skills from working experience and then taking the proper training courses that will help to prepare you for the exam. It's kind of backwards here, you need the experience to get a job, but you can't get a job without any experience. The way to work around this is by taking any job in the field. You won't be getting paid much here, but you will be taking the proper steps to advancing your career in just a few short months. Once you have six months of working experience then you should begin taking the certification courses to get prepared for the exam. So now when you are ready to begin applying for a job they will see the experience and the certification and you will be a very likely candidate for the position.
