By having a Microsoft Certified System Engineer certification means you have a lot of knowledge about the workings of networks systems. Being MCSE certified allows you to be a network administrator, a network specialist or a network analyst among other jobs. They are basically in charge of running and maintaining a network system for a company.

The Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) training allows network administrators to obtain all the knowledge and information they need to successfully carry out their job. After having on hands experience, studying and taking courses, and finally taking and passing numerous exams, a network administrator is able to configure, maintain, and monitor the hardware and software that makes up the network. This is a very serious job. As we all know, one simple glitch in one personal computer and the whole network could shut down. The network administrator must be able to maintain their system.

You will be in charge of routing table configurations and network assignments. And often times you will be in charge of the maintenance of individual machines, such as drivers, printers and setting on employees personal computers. With their Microsoft Certified System Engineering background, these are things the network administrator is capable of handling.

As a network specialist or a network analyst work mostly on design and security issues. They are your troubleshooters. Network specialists or network analyst also work on backup systems. They are there to "debug" these systems.

Configuring new equipment, updating and evaluating new hardware and/or software and dealing with their users on a daily basis is another way a network administrator can pass the workday. After taking the MCSE courses and exams, and sometimes even their boot camps, an administrator is usually ready for anything to happen in their little world called their network system.

It is a high pressured job. No one wants anyone to be angry with them and when a user's pc is down and they can't get their job done, the anger very well may be directed at the "IT guy". The network administrator must also be similar to a traffic police officer at times. Constantly directing "traffic" around the office. Making sure the way is clear for everyone to go about their daily business. Smooth traveling. After all of their training and experience the network administrator has an important position in any company. An administrator will definitely get paid for all the work they do everyday so that the company can run smoothly.
